Chief Executive OfficerAhmad Rafique

As CEO and founder, Ahmad has ultimate responsibility for all aspects of SSG.  Ahmad is a dynamic and entrepreneurial CEO, with a first-class record of achievement. He is an inspiring young leader who energises his people by providing clear strategies and direction. Ahmad has transformed SSG by engaging the stakeholders to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction, leading to greatly improved profitability during periods of growth and change. Ahmad has been instrumental in gaining significant new business and has built a high calibre team, who share his passion and energy for embedding high performance culture to deliver successful results.

Ahmad is Qualified Lead Auditor for OHSAS 18001 and ISO 27001. Skilled in ISO 9001, ISO 14001,ISO22301, Sales, Physical Security, Risk Assessment, and Loss Prevention. Strong entrepreneurship professional with a Master of Business Administration – MBA focused in Business Administration and Management from Anglia Ruskin University.

Head of SalesAaron Butler

Head of Sales Aaron has the responsibility for all aspects of sales and business development within SSG. He is sales driven with a keen eye for detail and professionalism. Aaron can find new business using various methods to help achieve an excellent new business strategy. Aaron will also be nurturing our current accounts and looking for new business opportunities with our clients. He will be responsible for delivering presentations when invited to do so by our current potential clients. Aaron started out as a junior leader passing out of the prestigious Army Foundation College based in Harrogate. He then joined his Regiment in Germany where he was based for 12 years, operating all over the world and completing four operational tours. He was part of a specialist unit called the Brigade Reconnaissance Force attached to the Royal Marines. After serving 12 years in the British Army Aaron decided it was time he joined the civilian work force, as a G4S associate Consultant helping design and deliver the Security procedures for pedestrian screening areas for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympics’ Games. Aaron then joined the Maritime Security Industry as a Security Consultant for a leading Maritime Security Company, working across the world advising the shipping industry on best management practice when transiting high risk environments. Aaron was then employed as a Sales Manager looking after a team of very successful account managers within the fuel distribution market. Aaron brings to SSG a wealth of experience in Security, Risk Management and Sales.

National Contracts ManagerThomas Brown

Thomas has joined SSG as a National Contracts Manager after 10 years working in both frontline and managerial roles within the healthcare, leisure and educational sectors of the security industry.  Thomas is responsible for ensuring that the high standards of service our customers have come to expect are repeatedly delivered and surpassed.  He has a wealth of experience in operational management across a variety of sectors.  He is responsible for customer satisfaction, compliance and all operational personnel within the contracts he manages. He has a solid understanding of current security legislation and British Standards

Head of Human ResourceHelen Pengelly

Helen is the Head of the HR Department, leading a team to achieve reporting targets, whilst ensuring the best customer service possible is provided in a changing and pressured environment.

Helen is the first point of contact for any HR related issues for all SSG Staff and is the SSG contact for Peninsula. She oversees all HR processes and is directly responsible for recruitment, approving all holiday requests / monitoring absence and ensuring all HR records are compliant.

She is calm, capable and able to use tact and sensitivity in difficult situations to ensure successful outcomes within agreed timescales. Helen is a highly respected and well-liked member of the SSG team.

Head of Training & DevelopmentSteve Harriss

Steve Harris is a high-achieving and result-oriented Healthcare, Leadership, Training & Development Manager and personal development professional with extensive experience designing and delivering Learning and Development strategy. Broad level medical management experience borne from 30+ years’ experience. He works effectively in a senior team or on his own initiative producing value-adding solutions that promote growth, profit, excellence, and a positive organizational identity. A confident, qualified educator, with proven experience in the development of medical and security professional facilities, teams, and individuals both in Military and in the general security industry.  An effective communicator, who embraces new initiatives, derives enjoyment from leading and taking part as a team player.

Head of Central OperationsShahzad Sohail

Shahzad Manages the central 24hr Central Operations team and has responsibility to oversee all operational aspects of the day to day business.

Shahzad strategically manages rosters from across our national client base on Timegate. Along with his team, they allocate shifts to over 300 +  employees ensuring that there is no compromise to the quality of our service delivery, whilst providing a duty of care to our officers.

Head of Accounts & FinanceSyed Hammad Hassan

Syed manages the Finance department. He has ultimate responsibility for the full compliance across all Financial aspects of the company.

Syed is responsible for maintaining the key financial and reporting systems including management accounts, financial accounts, cash and inventory management for the company.

Control Room ManagerHafiz Tahir Nazir

Hafiz Manages the central 24hr control room team and has responsibility to oversee all operational aspects of the day to day business.
